born from a trade
Last December our friend and Comrade El Gato unknowingly started something epic.
After we made an open call on X, El Gato offered to trade a Pizza Ninja for the legendary Lord of Nodes from the YONDER collection. And we happily accepted.

McHexley was instantly fired up. He pinged Boozy with a simple idea: create a thank-you piece – not just for El Gato, but for the entire Pizza Ninjas community.
The vision: Blend the dimension breaking pixel weirdness of Hexley’s Call Data Comrades with Boozy’s clean Ninja aesthetics. And surprisingly… it worked.
What started as a simple trade became an epic art collaboration.
Two worlds united in one collection.

In the world of the Call Data Comrades, the Pizza Comrades is everybody’s favorite Saturday Morning Cartoon.
The show is centered around the adventures of four young ninja warriors, namely Leonhard, Donald, Lil’ Ralfy and Michel, who gain strange new powers after eating radioactively contaminated pizza found near a crater from the Great Crust War.
Apart from the protagonists the cast is ridiculously large – hundreds of ninja warriors – and true fans can name them all by heart.

The show first appeared at the end of the First Dark Age. Its clear purpose was to lift the spirits of the Comrades, especially the young ones. To this day, no one truly knows who created it or where it originates – only that it’s broadcast from somewhere deep within the Yonder.
The first episode was picked up by accident using a modified Machine Elf Broadband Receiver. Since then, Block City’s Channel 9 has been relaying it for everyone to enjoy.

Although the show can get quite brutal at times, many believe its uplifting messages and strong moral values played a crucial role in ushering in the Age of Enlightenment.

The World of the Pizza Comrades
The Pizza Comrades live in a realm called Pieternia – a flat world carried through the nothingness on the back of the Great Tortoise.
5 Cosmic Oven Lords
The Cosmic Oven Lords created this realm to resemble a ginormous pizza pie.
Everyone knows that, except for a few nutjobs who claim Pieternia is actually a giant meatball.

Pieternia is as diverse as the menu of your favorite pizza parlor. Many different landscapes can be found across the realm – from towering mountain ranges to treacherous swamps, from beautiful seas to bone-dry deserts.
Through the ages, countless kingdoms have formed, faded, and mostly coexisted in peace.

With one exception: Lord Häxler - the Butcher of the Deep Dish, the King of the Crust. He and his Goons have been terrorizing Pieternia for longer than anyone can remember. They rule over the outer rims, also known as The Crust.
Lord Häxler
Two beings from The Crust: A Pizza Guzzler and a Nomad of the Crust
While many friendly beings still live in these dry and rugged lands – like the Nomads of the Crust – the area remains extremely dangerous.
This is not only because of Lord Häxler and his Goons, but also due to the hazardous flora and fauna, including the infamous Pizza Guzzlers. These creatures were originally the result of genetic experiments by Lord Häxler’s alchemists, but they eventually broke free, multiplied, and now roam wild.

King Brawndor the Slick
One of the oldest and most powerful kingdoms in Pieternia is the Kingdom of Pepperonia.
For aeons, power over this kingdom has rested in the hands of the Brawndor clan, with King Brawndor the Slick currently sitting on the throne.
He serves as Commander in Chief of the Pizza Comrades, who protect the citizens of Pepperonia from the dangers lurking beyond the city walls. Most of the time, he does a fabulous job, and looks super slick doing so.
The Brawndor clan is known not only for its long line of impressive kings but also for its family-owned company, Brawndor Beverages Inc., which supplies all of Pieternia with Brawndor Energy Drinks at very fair prices. These drinks aren’t just great for kids and your tomato crops – they’re good for everyone!

Ze Great Schlorp
Lord Häxler, dangerous beings from the No-Man’s-Lands, and rival kingdoms are not the only threats the Pizza Comrades had to face over the ages. There is one more dangerous entity out there: immortal, disgusting, and slithering eternally slowly through the No-Man’s-Lands.

It tempts weak-minded or desperate Comrades with promises of eternal bliss, slowly transforming both the minds and bodies of those who listen, infiltrating the kingdoms of Pieternia from within – one Comrade at a time.
Its name is Ze Great Schlorp. And in its mind it’s here to give the greatest gift there is: To schlorpify us all!
It has been there forever, and it will remain for the rest of eternity. All the living beings of Pieternia – whether common citizens, Nomads of the Crust, Pizza Comrades, or even Lord Häxler’s Goons – must carefully navigate around this eternal Behemoth of deception in an endless, painfully slow chess game of cosmic proportions.

letters of credit
The lettering of Pizza Comrades is almost as legendary as the main characters themselves.
Instantly recognizable to true fans, Pizzascript provides a visual style that has become a core element of the show’s experience.

Up until now, there was no way to use these letters – they only existed in the show. But NML put in the effort, watching every episode to track them down.

Now they’ve been assembled into a complete font family for you to enjoy.
